MY experience with another gym marketing company “Gym member machine”

I recently concluded a three-month contract with GMM, a local gym marketing company, to run ads aimed at increasing my online training sales. The agreement was $4500 for three months of service, with my personal goal of signing up six new clients per month to justify the cost.

Unfortunately, the results fell drastically short of expectations. After two months, only two sales calls were generated, resulting in zero income and zero sales. This outcome led me to terminate the ad spend and discuss further actions with GMM.

In summary, the remediation proposed by GMM included comping the hosting of the website and CRM for one year but that did not meet the core need of generating clients.

Additionally, GMM's policy does not allow clients to take their website or CRM system with them after parting ways.

GMM offered either a partial refund of $1500 ..... OR ...... complimentary hosting website + CRM for 1 year, valued at $3600.

However, neither option addresses the initial purpose of the contract—to generate leads and income through advertising, which did not materialize.

“Business is inherently risky,” says the owner.

While I recognize the inherent risks in business and marketing, the collaboration with GMM did not provide growth or learning opportunities in advertising for my business. It also left me without long-term assets, as I would not own the CRM or website after one year without continued payment to GMM.

In the end, GMM issued a $1500 refund, but the overall experience was unsatisfactory. This outcome led to a $4,000 financial loss without any financial return on investment.

It is crucial for prospective customers to be aware of these possible outcomes and GMM's policies before entering into an agreement. Despite their efforts and quick communication, the tangible results I needed to justify this investment were not delivered.

Did Creative Market get rid of Free Goods?

Main Post:

Does anyone know if Creative Market got rid of their Free Goods of the Week? The page was up yesterday but I just went to check it out today and it’s gone. Not sure if I missed a memo that they were taking it down.

Thanks!

Top Comment: I can't find any news about the change, even in their blog, but it does look like they're gone. RIP, it was a good run. I've been collecting them since the very beginning, I think I've amassed a couple thousand of free packs over the years. It definitely got me on the site every week and in the ecosystem.

Envato Market advertises a subscription service on the top of their website for unlimited assets download, but it's actually for a seperate website called Envato Elements which features NONE of the content from Envato Market. Of course there's no refund whatsoever available.

Classic bait-and-switch. Both of them are owned by Envato, and therefore have the exact identical design, deceiving the user into thinking that they're still on the same website. How could someone expect the price on top of the web page to be for another seperate and unrelated service?
